Candle Safety Guide

At The Luxe Melt Co , I want you to enjoy our luxury candles safely. Here’s everything you need to know to keep your home beautifully scented while staying safe.

Before You Light Your Candle

• Trim the Wick – Always remove the top part of the burnt wood before each burn to prevent excess soot and ensure an even burn.
• Place on a Heat-Resistant Surface – Candles should be placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, pets, and little hands.
• First Burn Matters – Let the wax melt to the edges of the container on the first burn to prevent tunneling and get the most out of your candle.

While Your Candle is Burning

• Never Leave Unattended – Always stay in the room while your candle is burning. If you’re leaving, blow it out.
• Keep Away from Flammables – Curtains, blankets, and anything that could catch fire should be kept well away.
• Burn Time Limits – Don’t burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time to avoid overheating the jar.

After You’ve Finished Burning

• Let it Cool – The container will be hot after burning, so allow it to cool before handling.
• Keep the Wick Trimmed – This helps maintain a clean and controlled burn for next time.
• Reuse or Recycle – Once your candle is finished, clean out the jar and repurpose it. These are not suitable for recycling.
